How Do I Get My Business “Tycoon” Dad To See The Reality Of Working In America?

My father has started many successful businesses and is now largely self-employed through advisor roles on various corporate boards. How do I get my dad to understand that $16/hour doesn't cut it? He tells me to work, and I get it I'm 19. But at some point I'm going to graduate college and have no money—he says graduating without student loans is enough of a handout. So I get that he is super tightfisted in that regard—probably a losing battle. But there has to be a way for him to give me a leg up without just giving me a bunch of money—I'm wondering if there is a middle ground we can reach where maybe he helps me fund a company after college? But I feel like he wouldn't do that considering his stance on wanting me to work $16/hour jobs for forever.
