Hi,
I work for a university as an accountant. I make ok money, could definitely make more but I just started and it's a place I know. I am fine with it. It's a job.
But the director for my department can be really passive aggressive about how since most of us are salaried that a 40 hour work week should not be expected. I always tell myself that that mentality is why so many people hate their jobs but sometimes it gets to me. I try not to cave and at most I'll work about 46 hours a week but I cannot justify working 50-55 hours a week at my current pay.
How do you deal with this? Just say fuck it?
