I got fired from my last job like a month ago, basically for having attention issues, lateness issues, making the company look bad after saying the wrong thing, and getting injured on the job and going on workers comp. They gave me a nice severance package ,I think because they don't want to get sued. I have ADHD and carpal tunnel and I mentioned that my attention problems have gotten worse after they cut the staff and I just can't focus with this overwork and shifting schedules. It just kept getting worse and I kept getting blamed for everything until I got fired.
Anyway I'm ok for money ATM but I gotta find a new job to qualify for a new apartment. How do you talk about why you got fired at a job interview when you didn't do well ? I don't wanna say it's bc I have ADHD and I can't focus and I don't wanna say it's bc I violated safety reasons which was their reasoning. I always find this is pretty awkward (unless you really got laid off) and basically a form of descrimination. Can they call your old employer and ask if what you said was correct ?
