I would assume that 7 minutes after rounds down, 8 minutes rounds up, because thats how rounding to the nearest 15 works.
My work has sent out a whole spreadsheet to my managers that has ever single minute past the hour, and what it rounds to if you are clocking in or clocking out (both different). I said that sounds confusing can we post this by the time clock so we can make sure we get paid for 8 hours? They said they are not allowed to.
This new policy made it so when I clocked in at 7:37 ( 7 minutes late) had a half hour lunch and clocked out at 4:07 (to make up the time) I only got paid for 7.75 hours because it rounds different clocking in and out.
Just wondering if anyone else is out there doing clock gymnastics just to get paid.
