New inflation levels read 8.5% as of today, and it makes me wonder how much longer this can go on for. How much longer until almost everyone is using their paycheck to only pay their bills with no breathing room for anything else? And then what happens after that? If nobody is able to buy anything outside of necessities, will companies have to start firing people to cut their losses? Are we on the brink of another great depression or am I overreacting? I'd love for someone with more knowledge to explain.
