This might be weird for this sub but I am 100% for bringing people up with you as you move up yourself, so I wanted some recommendations.
I have an assistant at my workplace (not like, a secretary, but a file assistant who sends out my documents and makes calls for me and pays invoices) who has made more effect on my experience in the workplace than anyone else. They’re way more helpful than any of my coworkers and I want them to get the recognition they deserve, or anything really.
Problem is, he is in the Philippines, I am in the US, so it’s not like I can send him a thank you gift as easily as I could someone close by. I really want to do something to help him get promotions/raises etc for long term gain for him because he absolutely deserves all the good in the world.
I have offered to my supervisors to write letters of recommendations for any upcoming reviews or raise considerations but does anyone else have any suggestions?
