Been looking for a job for sometime now and decided to change my approach on LI. Rather than just applying to advertised jobs, I thought of reaching out to CEO’s/Founders through the message and direct chat option.
The idea was to reach out to new startups within the AI field, since the opportunity there is quite high. I found a report that listed out the top 10 AI startups by industry and used that to set up my message.
Started off by congratulating the CEO on being listed in the report etc etc and positioned myself as someone who could help them given that I’m unemployed and looking for interesting roles and look forward to connecting
The funny part is one CEO wrote back and instead of acknowledging the actual request, or talk about roles in the company, inquired directly ”which report are you referring to? Can you kindly share the link with me”🤣🤣
No empathy or discussion around initiative or for getting in touch with him or redirect to HR. Just plain “me me me”
Doesn’t this mean not a good place to work at when the CEO’s so selfish and curt?
