Turned out to be just a 8 week interview – what a waste of time!!!!
My son graduated HS in early June. The last 2 months of school, he did a 8 week internship, 1 x a week, 90 minute sessions. They did interview skills and other job prep/team skills. I told my son to be on time and if he took this on that he would probably miss a couple of track meets.
He was pumped and excited thinking that he made some solid connections with the recruiters. This LOCAL company only gave him a Zoom interview.
My son was recognized by the school FB page for finishing the Blank Internship Program
After 2 weeks the Blank Firm gave him a job offer…………32 hours making minimum wage.
He called and said that he was starting college and doing summer school, 32 hours could not happen, could they work with his schedule? They ghosted him
Told my son, it was a learning experience, but his time missing out on other experiences is valuable
I had another student came in and ask about the program, I told him to steer clear
