Huge plastic company would not provide me with gloves

I’m working there as a temp. I had to sort the plastic and rip the moulds and it was killing my hands.. It got to the evening and a Romanian guy came up to me and he insisted that I ask for gloves. So I did just that, left my work station, found management and asked for gloves. Her response ‘we cannot provide’ Surely that’s illegal and it’s basic PPE. Or their argument might be that my agency should have told me… but no one told me. It’s just sickening the amount of money that company must make, all the different types of plastic they produce and they can’t even provide gloves. It’s like a modern day slavery warehouse, loud, runs all day and night on 3 different shift patterns. The next shift waits to take over when you finish. Huge queues to clock in and out. The only reason…

The only reason I’m going back is because my hours are 3pm to 11pm so it gives me enough time during the day to look for jobs and attend interviews.
