I work security at a hospital, its not hard work and I rather did enjoy it. But last October we became short staffed. One of our guys joined the military. No big deal, I knew I might have to work Thanksgiving, Christmas and even New Years. And that happened, my job has been slow in finding a replacement for us. Now I’ve missed out not only on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New years Eve and New Years Day. Now I’ve missed Easter, Memorial Day weekend and the 4th of July. The next holiday is Labor Day and after that is going to Thanksgiving all over again.It's bad enough I have to work weekends with one day off then nights then another day off then back to weekends. I’m 61 not 25 so even if I leave what do I do?
