I am so sick of interviewing and jobs not providing what they require for the position.

I’ve had three interviews in the past week, all of which never made it past the first five minutes. These employers never put what hours are required, what they require from the employee, nothing. If you would have told me overnight availability is required, I would have never paid $10 to Uber there for the interview. If you would have told me the position I’m interviewing for was already filled, the only position they met my availability, I would have cancelled the interview. If these employers would have simply listed the qualifications and expectations of this position, all our time wouldn’t have been wasted. If the position I applied for was only full time, making less than I do now, I would have never applied. There’s no reason to be enigmatic on your job postings, tell me exactly what expectations you have, qualifications that are required, any requirements for this position, it’s truly that simple.

Jobs will ask questions about your availability but once you get to the interview, your availability isn’t open enough? Then why schedule an interview to begin with? If my availability wasn’t open enough to begin with, why reach out to me? It’s mind boggling. Truly.

As a 20 year old in the work force, I’ve only seen it go more downhill. It’s exhausting.
