I barely see the difference…

Why those things are even a thing USA ? The exploitation practices, are there any worker protections there ? I'm.not from USA but I've been seeing and reading a bunch of stuff that feels mortifying to a foreign worker with actual rights. And from what I understand it's not that employer will pay for your let's say Uni, and expect 2 years of loyalty – this is for basic training on a position. Debt to an employer – with basically 0 regulations, on a random quota they KNOW is unpayable on that position is essentially a Nexum with extra steps for those years. Can someone explain ?
