I can’t do this for much longer

I’m 27, been in the corporate world for nearly 5 years. For the last year and a half I’ve been doing a work from home role that was gotten worse and worse as time has gone on. More work, more difficult work, and to get it all done on time I work 50-60 hour weeks while getting paid for 40. More recently, it’s been 60 hours every single week. My team acts like it’s totally normal, but I can’t sustain this. I told my manager about this months ago, but she doesn’t care. She just expects the work to get done. I told my manager about this months ago, but she doesn’t care. She just expects the work to get done.

I recently turned down a manager role that would’ve given me a 20k increase but would’ve required me to drive a total of 3 hours every day. Plus the other benefits weren’t as good as my other company.

I applied to a couple of internal roles recently which sound interesting, I’m qualified for, and they would be lateral moves. I really hope I get one and soon.

It’s gotten to the point where I genuinely considered quitting at one point. It felt like I had a gun to my head to get the job done on time, no matter how long it took and how difficult it got. It fucking sucks.

This job has given me suicidal thoughts nearly every day I have to do it, and I can hardly sleep on weeknights anymore.
