I couldn’t believe how the rich class are so greedy. And I think I finally understood one element of their worldview. It’s very greedy and evil, but it explains how they can justify fighting tooth and nail to pay as little as possible.

It's still just a tiny part of their worldview, but it does explain things. You've got food and water and shelter? That's good enough for you. Doesn't matter if you work 12 hours a day, as long as you've got food and shelter, you've got no right to complain. Basically, they don't care about the fact that you're living paycheck to paycheck, have to live extremely frugally, or that you can't save anything or buy anything nice, no disposable income etc… It doesn't matter. Anything else other than survival they see it as them paying too much, you should be grateful you're not starving. Go start your own business if you want more.
