I don’t think my new supervisor knows what she’s doing and it’s making me want to leave my job.

I don’t think my new supervisor knows what she’s doing and it’s making me want to leave my job. I’ve been at my job for 9 years. I’ve never ran into any issues with any of the staff members there. I’ve never gotten yelled at or blamed for anything. I tend to set up good relationships with everyone by chatting with them like “Hey if you ever need anything, just let me know and if I’m not busy and I get sidetracked, I will get it immediately, if not then I always get it the next day. Just always come to me” or with other people “Hey just let me know the night before, if it’s the night before it at least gives me a heads up so I can come in early and get things set up for you guys and take care of everything” Whenever they thank me…

Just always come to me” or with other people “Hey just let me know the night before, if it’s the night before it at least gives me a heads up so I can come in early and get things set up for you guys and take care of everything” Whenever they thank me for something it’s “Sure no problem” I tend to keep it very short and work related. It’s a little harder now with a some of the new staff but I’ve still never had any issues with them.

It’s similar with my coworkers. On busy nights, I’ll stay late to help them when I can and always check on them when I have spare time. I tend to also chat with them on a regular basis. They always vent to me because I usually keep my mouth shut and never tell on anyone plus I’ve been there for so long and have more of a say. Lately I’ve been the one to take charge on the complaints like “You ever notice-“ and they tend to be like “Yes, I thought I was the only one”

But anyways, my supervisor likes to butt heads with everyone. With people who you can’t butt heads with. I’ve put in a lot of work over the years to make certain people happy and now she’s butting heads with people who could easily fire her(not quite but suggest)

All she ever does is sit in the office like 80% of the day. I don’t even think my last boss was on the computer as much as she is and we rarely had problems before her and when we did, we fixed it immediately. Now she’s missing whole ass rooms and you can’t can’t do that.

I’ve also noticed she likes to get mad easily when it’s mildly inconvenient for her. We work in a pretty hectic work place, so, we get mildly inconvenient all the time. It took me until year 2 to just roll with everything because I was young (barely 20) and still adjusting to working with actual people and getting used to controlling some of my emotions/temper. The only time I’ve ever really upset is when I’m not given a notice for an event so I can at least set everything up.

I’ve also heard some rumors that she might be smoking/vaping in the restrooms because she kept setting off the sensors. I’ve never set off the sensors before since they’ve added them. to the point where I didn’t even know they where there until one of my machines set them off during a break. But the place couldn’t prove it, so they dropped it. I’m gonna drop it but keep it in mind that maybe she was smoking in the bathroom.

We as a group, realized that she is so immature. We’re roughly the same age and I feel like I’m more mature then she is work wise and I’m younger than her.

Her brothers work there and they’re not good workers and we can’t call them out for it yet even though we can call out new coworkers who haven’t been trained properly (even they said it and they’re already thinking of leaving because of it) and she’s perfectly fine with it.

We’ve also come to the conclusion that she’s just not a good manager and almost everyone has stated they wanted to leave under her. Like no one wants to work for her. We all at least tolerated the other boss. Because he at least tried to keep everyone happy, he annoyed me sometimes but we generally got along. She’s always like “Not my problem because I can’t stay late” with every little email and you can’t do that where we work

The even more fucked up thing I’ve noticed is that SHE vents to me about how much everyone else sucks and it’s like “Bruh, no comment since you yelled at me the last time I tried to tell you how to fix the problems”

The worst part is, I can’t even say anything to anyone in management because I’ve already gotten in trouble for it. Which is why I feel like I want to leave if things don’t improve however, I also don’t want to leave just to have her get fired immediately after because I do like the place. Just not management.

I have not had this feeling of being watched all the time since my last bosses worked here and I was crying everyday.

I’m trying to bide my time because it’s not just me noticing these things. A staff of 10 is also noticing it. And she’s on very thin ice with everyone there and it sounds like upper management is threatening to fire her every other week. But it really makes me want to leave.

Part of me feels bad because we’ve known each other for years but the other part is like it’s like”I knew of you, you weren’t in my grade, why should I have loyalty to you if you just take advantage of me” and part of me is actually praying she gets fired before I say something that gets me fired.
