I was at home one day 2 hours before a shift. I wasn't feeling well and was a little nauseous. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to go to work, I called my job and explained my situation. They told me that I need to call in 3 hours before my shift (which to me is ridiculous). They told me that I needed to find a replacement. I explained that I hadn't been there very long and hadn't made those types of connections yet. The manager then told me that “It was fine and they would find someone.” 2 weeks pass and I was called into a manager's office and written up for something that they said was “fine”. The manager who I spoke to was in the office with me. So it's not like they didnt tell them what they said to me/didn't know what happened. I don't get why I was written up for something they said was fine. Someone please help me understand it.
