I got a job offer which pays very less for the city it's in. Rent will eat up half the salary and rest would go in other expenses ( I don't even know if it will be enough, I'll have to SERIOUSLY cut my expenses). It is also a 6 day work week.
It is extensive work. Not only will I have to do digital work using my digital skills, I also will have to run around and get things done ( it is an export house). There would be absolutely no scope of creativity either. Oh and the interviewer asked me
” Are you not getting married soon? ” when I told her my age I'm 25 (f). Maybe it doesn't bother most people but casual sexism / homobhobia is very frustrating to me (I'm also queer).
My parents are pressuring me to take it because I'm not getting any other offers anywhere, I mean fair, but I really feel like I will suffer immense burnout from this job, it doesn't even pay enough and I just overall have a bad gut feeling. My parents are probably not gonna let me not take this job. I know it's very entitled of me to not want to take this, but willingly working for a place which isn't gonna help me really just doesn't sound good to me.
I wanted to pursue masters and other design related courses so I can polish my skills and freelance, or get better opportunities bur my parents are against that.
(I come from a conservative country hence the controlling parents)
I inevitably will take this offer, but it is just making me VERY anxious 🙁
