I do admin on a construction site and usually mind my own business, but recently noticed some shoddy work. A couple of others on the site mentioned concerns about it as well. Nothing super serious like life-threatening, but I did bring it up with my supervisors and they didn't take it as an issue. So I filed an anonymous complaint with the appropriate oversight agency because I figured they can make an inspection and decide if it is a violation or not.
But now I am worried…the complaint is obviously from me (although the shoddy work is visible from the street on a public property, so in theory it could have been anyone passing by). Can my supervisor (or colleagues for that matter) ask if I submitted the complaint? How do I reply if they do ask?
