I get so tired of being pushed further when clients decline sales pitches!

Here’s the thing, we all have free will! If customers want to decline a sale, an appointment, etc. they are allowed to! Now, if my pitch needs a little work (I hate sales pitches anyway, I’m not even technically in sales, so I’m open to constructive criticism) but at some point you’re going to have to face the fact that some of these people are practicing their right to say “no.” And if I’m saying exactly what you want me to say and they’re still declining? Don’t look at me. Did you ever stop and think that they just…don’t want to? Seriously…I get so sick of “Say this not that.” “Okay, saying this doesn’t work so, say that.” “Okay, try texting after leaving them a voicemail.” “If they say no, try calling them again in a month.” How about I ask, leave a voicemail, whatever…and leave it up to the…

Seriously…I get so sick of “Say this not that.” “Okay, saying this doesn’t work so, say that.” “Okay, try texting after leaving them a voicemail.” “If they say no, try calling them again in a month.” How about I ask, leave a voicemail, whatever…and leave it up to the client? And stop making me feel like I’m saying things wrong when I’m saying them exactly the way you requested. What I’m saying isn’t wrong. I could say something off the wall and get a sale and you’d pat me on the back. Make a perfect pitch, get declined, and I’m “not saying it right.” So I know it’s not about what I’m saying/not saying and all about you pointing your finger at me when a client simply says “no thank you.” People are allowed to do that, you know? And it’s not necessarily a shortcoming of the employee…
