Co-worker I trained last year for a simple pallet jack job applied for and obtained the line lead position. I've been working on getting this position for the last year and a half. The company I work for makes fried chicken for major fast food chains, all he does is move completed pallets to the storage freezer. He knows nothing about the floor work, nothing about sanitation, nothing about the machines, nothing about the other employees he'll be leading, nothing about paperwork, nothing about fabrication side. He's a childhood friend of the supervisor of course, so I assume that's why he got it. I was awarded with line lead assistant position shortly after, this is a new position and I feel like it was made for me out of pity. I'm his assistant. I'm devastated.
