I don’t know what I’ve come down with as I’ve had all my vaccines. I’m coughing blood, pretty sure I fractured a rib, extreme muscle pain, and I have completely lost my voice. Last night I had a fever of 102.4.
I work at a small privately owned gas station with 7 employees.
I told my manager all of this and was informed I would have to find my own cover (which is fine.) however I reached out to the three coworkers not on the schedule and only one said she may be able to cover but it would be Saturday (that’s fine, she has kids).
The other 2 (I’ll call Jess and Mary) told me no. Jess is out of town (which is totally fine). However, Mary simply said no because those are her days off even tho I offered to switch shifts next week so she would have 4 days off. I would understand if it had been the first time I asked her to cover the day I started to worsen and she just ignored my texts.
Manager refuses to respond even after I have let her know I can’t find cover and I am very sick. I don’t know what to do. I’m so damn tired..
