I got singled out for solving our teams issues

Our department at work was struggling with major work stress. We were suddenly very busy due to computer issues and received no support or communication from our leads. We work remotely, but for years worked I'm office together and are a family. Due to this stress we were snarky with each other. In over 4 weeks not once did our lead reach out and even check on us or acknowledge that we were buried in work and miserable. We had a zoom meeting, which was lead by the previous lead because our current lead (whose been in that position for over 10 months) has absolutely no idea what we do. She couldn't do one single task of our position. Anyway, in this zoom you could see it all on our faces, “if looks could kill” from all of us. We asked questions multiple times without getting answers and basically just…

We asked questions multiple times without getting answers and basically just hung up when it was over.

Ironically the same day I had a meeting with a work/life coach to talk about work related stress. After work on my own time. She gave me a lot of good suggestions including a meeting with just the team to talk things out. The next morning I asked my lead if I could do that, she said yes and I said ok I'll do it in the next few days. I had that meeting and we all felt the same way, got on the same page and feel so much better.

The following week we all get scheduled for 1:1with our lead because she noticed we were miserable during that zoom meeting. Everyone but me. I was the only one who had the division manager in my meeting. They were upset I had the meeting and didn't tell them the date and time. They wanted to know what we talked about, wanted to know what we talk about in our work chat (asked if we were chatting too much to which I threw my production numbers in their face which is 3xs everyone elses), and asked what I discussed with the life coach!! We all told them in our individual meetings none of this would have happened if they actually gave a shit about our department.

This isn't the first time I've been singled out for stepping up and trying to solve problems. At first I was upset and crying. Then I got mad. It all boils down to them not knowing why we were upset and what was said to fix it. I stepped on toes and egos.

I am now giving production and no more. I'm going to get FMLA for the PTSD I now have and will get doctor notes excusing me from “group” activities due to anxiety. Our team still communicates and supports each other daily, I don't regret it.
