I work in a call center (biggest mistake of my life, I knew it would suck but it’s exceeded my expectations) and I was recently told I was taking too much time for bathroom breaks. We’re allowed 30 minutes a week and I was taking 44.
I’m technically able to do it in the allowed time but I’m just annoyed about every aspect of the job and this was the last straw. I had a doctor appointment and I said that I’ve been taking longer than usual so I need a note for my employer because they monitor our time.
So now I’m taking as much time as I want and taking extra little mental health breaks labelled as bathroom time. I’m way too old to be treated like a fucking child.
Fuck call centers! Never work in one if you can help it.
I’m obviously looking for a new job and should have one soon but thanks to this great country’s awesome policy of tying our health insurance to our employer I need to wait until I get one. And I’m being very picky this time
