I have never had to chase a job down to do their (very basic) responsibilities until I tried to get hired by Walmart.

Sorry if the formatting sucks I’m on my phone. Honestly, this is a joke. I applied for a night position at the Walmart by my place. Got in on a group interview that went well and everything. Initially, I got an email saying I was rejected. “That’s fine,” I thought, “I’ll just keep lookin.”. A day or two pass and I get another email saying that I was instead accepted. I thought it was weird but I was excited about not having to job hunt anymore. I got 3 more emails after – one for a (it said optional) survey, one for my user name and one for my password for workday. Never bothered with the survey. The username and password didn’t work, got in contact with Workday who said to contact Walmart HR who said to contact an assistant manager at Walmart. I went to Walmart in person and asked for an assistant manager at customer service. After half an hour of waiting, an assistant manager shows up because he was taking care of something else by customer service. Didn’t even know I needed help. Eventually, he sends an email to another assistant manager with all the info needed to contact me to hopefully figure this situation out.

This was a week ago, I have since called multiple times and simply cannot get in contact with any assistant manager. Today I called customer service who put me on hold with an assistant manager who then, after half an hour of having me on hold, picks up (I could hear people talking in the background) and just hung up?

Is walmart normally this horribly managed or are they actually just testing to see how submissive I am and how badly I need a job so they can treat me like garbage when they finally actually give me my orientation and start date?
