I have no source of transportation anymore and I still need to go to work. Need advice.

I’m a college student who’s pursuing a bachelor’s degree to go to med school. I’m also declared as an independent student due to absent parents, don’t know if this could be relevant. I used to own a car for months until the transmission got burnt up two weeks ago. I was driving to work before this happened. I have ask for a ride from my partner’s mother and she takes me to work, not until her car stopped working two days ago. I didn’t ask my boyfriend because his car completely stopped working since December and he needs a new car. I live with my boyfriend and our closest friend, whom himself never own a car. I have ask for a ride from my partner’s mother and she takes me to work, not until her car stopped working two days ago. I didn’t ask my boyfriend because his car completely stopped working since December and he needs a new car.

I live with my boyfriend and our closest friend, whom himself never own a car. We all pay rent that’s around $1,210 per month not including electricity/gas bill. I payed for the gas bill and it took the majority of my check. We usually split rent, but with no transportation it’s difficult. However, we hope that our car get fixed before next week. We got our car parts and everything.

This is not the problem though. I messaged my supervisor that I’m not able to go to work because of my recent loss of transportation. I work from 6:30 am to 9:30 am before going to work. I would’ve taken the bus route, but one of the bus operates around 6:20 am on my way there. I work at my campus, so I appreciate the flexibility.

My supervisor told me that I need to quickly find transportation because they’re short staffed. I don’t know what to do because I’m falling two classes so far. I wasted my money on Uber yesterday because it took me 40 minutes to get to campus and I gotten a 0 for no show. I did message them of my situation, but not so much in detail. I’m planning on going to campus services to get more resources because the via link, that’s free for students, can’t pick me up from my area.

My family is at a different state for the week, so I can’t ask them. I have money for car repairs and rent. I just got paid yesterday and it’s not enough. I had to drop three classes because of lack of transportation. It put a huge strain on my academics, especially since I was schedule to work five days instead of three as requested.

Don’t know what to do. I asked my boyfriend, our friend, and his mother and they told me to quit for now because I need to focus on school. I feel guilty if they have to pay for everything. Besides this, is there any advice I need to take?
