We used to get assigned a few aisles each to look after and do various tasks and I would do them first faster than my colleagues on the other 30 isles in the store which meant that I would take a break earlier and go talk (and help) to a friend colleague on another aisle just for a little while.
but over time it kind of looked like I don't work and get distracted because I'm talking to people but they don't realize I've already done all my work. Mostly my manager would spot me on another aisle talking to a colleague and say I need to get back to work but that just went going back to my aisle just to fumble around.
After 2 years there I felt like I was gaslighted into being the laziest person even though I worked really hard so eventually just started hiding in corners of the warehouse after I've done my work and sit on my phone. doing extra work never benefited me anyway or was acknowledged.
Good job there management.
