My boyfriend (24M) and I (23F) broke up with each other just a few hours ago.
The reason is, he has to move out of province to actually be able to find a job that he can make a living with because the cost of living in Vancouver BC is a fucking joke and the level of competition employers have set for jobs is fucking ridiculous.
we both can’t do long distance either.
I’m so upset, my relationship was the only thing that made it easy for me go through the challenges of life and Capitalism took it away from me. This shit is destroying every aspect of my life.
When you can’t even have access to safe housing and a stable income to make a living out of it. How can he thrive in a relationship?
You can’t even get your basic needs met.
I’m very upset about this.
