I worked for a major mining company for over a decade. I saw people treated horribly, it was hard to deal with. I was nothing but a good employee, no write ups, no hr issues ever. I had perfect attendance, managed my time well. I helped anyone I could learn how to operate machines I was well versed in operating.
After a decade I was ready for something with better hours. My former supervisor who I felt I helped get his promotion promised me a really good job. Multiple people wanted me in this position, it was a perfect fit. This guy straight up promised me I would get it, I cancelled interviews with other departments because I trusted my boss.
He gave the job to his buddy and lied about it, he's still lying about it.
I decided I was not going back ever again. I was sick of everything I was seeing. I got drunk and tagged a bunch of supervisors on Facebook talking shit and calling them out. The response to all this was incredible, my phone was blowing up. I had the balls to say what everyone was thinking the entire time. It was not pretty, I went off. I pretty much told multiple people to “eat a dick”.
I've been told I look like a crazy person over this, I won't argue with that statement. I walked right into a job with a foreign mining company for a 10 dollar per hour pay raise. I don't regret anything, I did mean everything I said.
