I just read through like 3 hours of this sub and I am living for it honestly. I normally stay off of social media and I am just now hearing of this “quiet quitting” thing.
I worked for a company for 5 and a half years. It was a call center and I made my way up in the ranks and I became a supervisor. I remember how hard it was to be an agent so I made sure that I listened to the agents and I helped them and I made sure I tried my hardest to make their comments and concerns heard to upper management.
Once COVID hit and they sent us all to work from home it was nice, I didn’t need to go into the office that I hate. But once this started upper management started with these crazy demands. I had to call back at least 100 people in a day, I needed to send 116 agents to breaks, I had to take calls from customers who wanted a supervisor, I had to answer at least 5 pages of emails, and I had to make sure agents calls weren’t going past 10 minutes long, etc. All in an 8 hour shift, but “if you have to stay a few hours later that’s fine” is what management said. 🤣
I brought my concerns to upper management, and even the VP of the company. All of these tasks are just simply impossible to complete as one person in an 8 hour day, they returned with “well if it’s giving you too much anxiety, we will have to figure out a place for you”
HA, I’ve been there for over 5 years, my anxiety has never been an issue. I sent an email 10 minutes later giving them my two hour notice.
I ran into the owner a few months ago and he didn’t recognize me so I took it upon my self to tell him I used to work for him, he said oh! I hope you had a great experience, I flat out said no, it was the worst 5 years of my life, and walked away.
