I was being honest in an anonymous, all-employee survey about how I feel about the company, work/life balance, etc. There were 10 questions that you could answer using 1-5 stars. I used mostly 2 or 3 stars. I didn’t think my comments would be sent to our team’s manager but my anonymous comments and everyone else’s on the team (5 people, not including the manger) were sent to the manager.
It sounds like she’s been sniffing around to ask different members of the team how they’re feeling, if they’re overwhelmed, etc. to get through the anonymity. I think my responses were specific enough that she could narrow it down to me.
I’m extremely concerned she and my direct manager will start to side eye me and may even demote me or want to me leave the company.
