There is a summer camp near where I live in California offering a position for an equestrian director. They are offering a salary range of $6k to $10k based on experience for 13 weeks over summer and while that sounds not horrible for a summer job they are asking for 6 days a week, 7 am to 10 pm with a lunch and dinner a half hour each. Food and lodging provided.
I am not a mathematician but 90 hours a week over 13 weeks for the top range of their offered salary comes around to 7 dollars an hour BELOW minimum wage or 6.5 dollars below agriculture minimum wage.
Am I missing something about this situation or is it as illegal and insane as it seems?
