I was fired on my day off

I got a text from my boss on my day off when I was out of town to go in and talk to him “about something”. Having anxiety I of course asked him what it is and why it can’t just be a phone call. He tells me some things changed and he wants to talk to me about it before my next shift. Well I’m not dumb and knew where this was going so I told him whenever I’m back in town I’ll go in and see what’s up. He was very adamant that I go in asap. I was told to go in through the back entrance (nobody ever goes in that way so it would be a sure way to get me to bring my keys with me). All my stuff was on a table and he closes the door behind me. I was presented with a termination letter stating that I was being let got for failing to complete my duties despite being verbally coached (I wasn’t) and having available hours cut due to the lack of duties being complete (I was actually told that hours were being cut as a result of budget cuts across the corporation, and only heard about my duties not being complete months after my hours were cut never mentioning the correlation between loss of hours and lack of work)

His verbal reasonings and those put on paper were two completely different things and he claimed that the letter was from upper management but that they signed his name on the paper and he was being forced to fire me as the decision was made by the cfo. That was not in the termination letter at all. They just said I didn’t do my job properly and left it at that. So someone is lying but whatever. Kinda funny that the first job I ever get fired from is a cannabis dispensary. I held down an administrative position at a hospital for years before this job and have quite a bit of management experience myself so I know they didn’t handle my situation well at any point.
