I was let go…by a sticky note

I knew going into this job that it was a temporary position, but I needed the money and decided to take it. At the job interview I was told that this was going to be a 6+ month position, which I thought would be perfect and give me time to look for something better in the meantime while bringing in money. The next day I show up, and all those extra cars are gone. Still weird, I thought. I go inside to sign in on my time sheet, and I see a sticky note. The sticky note says, “April 25 Last Day.”

They couldn’t even tell me face to face that I was being let go. That plus the fact I was lied to during the interview process about how long the position would be.

I never thought I’d be on here venting, but here I am. I kind of find it more amusing than upsetting that they can’t even say it to my face and have to use a sticky note. A fucking sticky note.
