I work at Walmart and asked personnel about a week ago to be taken off the schedule today

I had surgery yesterday, got my wisdom teeth removed. When I asked her about it then she had led me to believe she most likely could, I explained that I'd be healing and at least need a day off. So yesterday before surgery I realized the day still hadn't been removed, through the Me@Walmart app I put in an unpaid leave request in hopes to remind her. After I got home from surgery before I could even rest I had someone bring me to the store and gave her my dr excuse. She just gave me the Sedgwick (for those who don't know they deal with Walmart leave of absences) number and I'm still working on getting it approved and all. I called in this morning as Sedgwick told me to follow through with regular call in procedure, but I got a notification earlier that my store manager got online…

She just gave me the Sedgwick (for those who don't know they deal with Walmart leave of absences) number and I'm still working on getting it approved and all. I called in this morning as Sedgwick told me to follow through with regular call in procedure, but I got a notification earlier that my store manager got online and rejected my unpaid time off request even after I called in and followed through with Sedgwick like it was kind of pointless for him to do so tbh. Also not to mention he is literally on vacation seeing Maury right now and has no clue why I put in said request. I am not sure if it is right for him to be rejecting any requests while on vacation either. I am the cart pusher and they want me to push carts at the mercy of the weather with a swollen head under the influence of pain killers the day after surgery I guess 🤣. I am sort of considering reporting them to ethics because I have reached 4 points already and feel like they are just going to fire me, however I am a little nervous about it tbh and feel like if they found out I did they it would make them lean more towards firing me, I don't know much about the whole process of ethics. Any advice would be appreciated! Sorry for lengthy post as well! I explained the situation to a friend and they recommended I posted here!
