Antiwork

I work full time 9:30am-6pm Mon-Fri and have another job in the music industry (most weekends, 1-3 gigs a week) and I’m struggling.

The work load is so much, especially cramming in instrument practise on top of other personal obligations. I’m finding it difficult to keep on top of it all, always having something to get done, and I’m starting to get so forgetful that I barley know what’s happening a few days ahead because I’m taking things a day or two at a time. My problem is, I have a colleague who does the same thing who manages it well, and reaps the rewards (great career, great salary etc) but I’m finding it too much. Covid really fucked my music career (thankfully booming again) and I had to go full time to pay the bills, but now I feel like I’m just constantly working, and as a result less effective at work. What’s the thoughts here- if my colleague can do it, does that mean I could, or should? I know everyone’s…

Any insight very welcome!
