I’m sending this to all my fellow co-workers via work email and my management shortly after so they don’t scrub it.
“To everyone here at [redacted], In my opinion, you should ask yourselves why a company that made 5 million dollars last year can't pay you more or what you deserve. You're hard work and compassion has made this company. Not [redacted]’s. Yours. You deserve to be compensated and have access to the means of your production. A company that claims to be different yet keeps all the fruits of OUR labor to themselves deserves to be questioned. We are [redacted]. Our calls, our work for our members, has allowed them the lives they lead. I leave [redacted] grateful for the opportunity but disappointed it's ended so predictably; with money staying at the top. You deserve a raise, they ask more of you while demanding you make the same. Do not fall for this trick. Right now employment is in the workers hands. Other companies are paying more and doing more for their employees. Be a part of that change and look elsewhere. This is my resignation, effective immediately.”
I have a new job lined up paying almost double what I made. They touted how amazing and different they were but they’re the same as everyone else, exploiting their workers. If I’m going to sell my soul it will be to the highest bidder. This is just in time for annual evaluations. The company has no HR department and in the past they’ve run for the hills as soon as they’re acquired. They recently put me on a PIP over some bullshit. I’m not going to sign anything without HR present and I deserve a raise for bringing more than $100k in revenue this year alone. I made $25 an hour. Fight back.
