manager put their hands on me. am i being over dramatic?

i just recently started serving at a small restaurant in my town and i really enjoy it except for this one terrible manager. i understand during our rush that everyone gets stressed but she will get in your face and scream at you. i can handle the yelling but one thing i can’t do is being touched. i have severe ptsd from a very abusive relationship and being touched by other people is one of my triggers. the other day when we weren’t even in a rush i was standing behind her waiting to grab my food from the kitchen when she turned around, grabbed me by my wrists and dragged me to the other side of the table that the kitchen puts their food on and yelled at me to stand over there. not only was it super triggering for me but it was also humiliating and degrading as…


i just recently started serving at a small restaurant in my town and i really enjoy it except for this one terrible manager. i understand during our rush that everyone gets stressed but she will get in your face and scream at you. i can handle the yelling but one thing i can’t do is being touched. i have severe ptsd from a very abusive relationship and being touched by other people is one of my triggers. the other day when we weren’t even in a rush i was standing behind her waiting to grab my food from the kitchen when she turned around, grabbed me by my wrists and dragged me to the other side of the table that the kitchen puts their food on and yelled at me to stand over there. not only was it super triggering for me but it was also humiliating and degrading as customers and my coworkers watched it happen. i froze and didn’t say anything. i know it’s not assault or anything, i wasn’t hurt just shook up for awhile after. this is the second time it’s happened as well. the money is good and i need this job but i know if i say anything that i will be fired on the spot. now everyday before work i’m super anxious and dreading going in. i’m not sure if i’m just overreacting and this is a normal thing.
