I just read in my employee handbook that as an automotive technician, I am “exempt from the overtime pay provision of the Wage and Hour Act”. As an auto tech I’m paid hourly AND flat rate (per job completed) and clock about 90-95hrs every two weeks. But I don’t get paid overtime for anything after 40 or 80 hours. Is this legal?
