I´m from Europe and I still don´t look forward to entering the workforce.

I understand, this is mostly American subreddit, but I am still coming here, since this is the only community of this kind I have heard of. To start this off: I am graduating high school soon with 5 years of college ahead of me. And after everything I have seen/experienced (i attended hotel management school and my desired college is in a different field, proffesional translation) I came to a conclusion, that I will have to work trough college, unless I win in a lottery or something, and I am not looking forward to entering the workforce at all. Multiple managers sharing one braincell, terrible pay conditions (4euro per hour, 160 hours as a part-time worker, got paid like 560, they pocketed the rest, appearantly for food costs, while I was eating leftovers and accomodation, which almost fell on my head. This is from 2 work experiences I had during summer breaks) and so much more, that is wrong with the work system in general.

I am looking for 2 kinds of advice to help me trough this:

  1. How do I recognize a terrible manager just by looking at them/having a conversation? I am trying to avoid a toxic workplace with braindead managers.
  2. How to keep a healthy work/studying balance? Keeping sanity is beneficial. If not possible, I can recover sanity later in life hopefully.
