And I’m losing my mind, normally I’d just send an email if I’m quitting day-of but they gave me keys to the office??
I’ve worked here for a week, after 2 days they gave me keys to the office and (since it’s a newspaper) I got put in the newspaper saying I was just hired blah blah blah
I wasn’t even sure about this job, I applied for a different job and got talked into this one and by day 3 I knew I didn’t want to be here. Day 4 I had two panic attacks working here and day 5 I did my damndest to do a good job just for them to come and micromanage everything I did and criticize what I did the whole week then say I had ‘a great first week’.
Not gonna go into all the extra BS they wanted including clocking out at exactly 4pm but if I had work I needed to stay late until it was finished, or how it’s specifically one hour less than full time employment so they don’t have to do benefits and the owner admitted that to me, but I’m not going to come in and do my job along with two other peoples jobs because you haven’t hired anyone yet and aren’t sure when someone will be in.
So tomorrow I’m driving over just to drop off my ‘resignation letter’ and the keys and next Monday I start a different job that’s not minimum wage and offers benefits.
