I just need a moment to vent. I’m a middle manager in sales for a medium sized company. I’m responsible for finding all the clients for this business and thus responsible for the majority of their profits. I’ve been there for nearly 6 years and I work my ass off for this company in hopes that eventually I’ll be able to better my career. Yesterday, I asked for a well deserved raise since it’s been a year since my last one and the cost of living is only getting worse. Today they told me that they cannot offer me a raise and that I can ask again in August. I also learned today that apparently I will no longer be eligible for overtime since I’m a manager. I’ve received OT in the past but suddenly there’s a new rule. Seriously fuck this company and their greedy executives. They don’t care at all that their managers are struggling to afford to live as long as we continue to line their pockets.
