Im starting to hate my job

I've been working at a local farmers market for the past 6 months, pushing hard for a promotion, all while management has been putting me down. Months ago, I put in for a 10 day vacation which starts this Thursday and my manager walked up to me and told me “never schedule anything on the first of the month again! It will be denied, your no longer allowed to schedule off from the 1-14th of every month!” Imagine being told to your face that your job owns you for half the month because “it puts too much strain on us”. What even the hell?! People have lives and livelyhoods outside of their job. People need to be allowed to rest and spend time with their families/ experiencibg new things/ enjoying life ECT. Glad to know the owner thinks of his employees as indentured servants. I don't even know what to do with this information, how do I even proceed with this job given that it's begging to feel like I'm being berated on a daily basis for “being unproductive” despite also being praised as “the best meat packer” it's conflicting and aggrevating.
