Hello – first time poster long time lurker here.
I’m currently stuck at what feels like the most dead end job ever at a tech startup. I’ve been there for a year and a half now and the negatives just keep piling up:
- low pay with no opportunity for raises
- little opportunity for promotions unless you work VERY closely with the CEO
- terrible culture (the CEO asked to meet with me, a low paid entry-level employee, alone just to speak poorly of someone in leadership who had been let go)
I feel so stuck and I don’t know what to do anymore. I just need someone to tell me this isn’t the norm, but realistically (especially reading this sub) I know that’s not the case.
