Antiwork

In the last 18 months I’ve changed jobs 3 times and now am looking to leave for a fourth. Are there any half decent work places left?

I’ve been averaging 60 hours a week for my current company. I left early one day to spend time with my family and had to leave some things undone (I still clocked out at 9 hours). Got an absolute shit storm from my supervisor the next day, demanding I go in on my day off…because I’ll just abandon my child for work. Now I’m expected to drive to a meeting and be chastised for this in front of others, which is a 2 hour round trip, seeing as I’m expected to go back to work if anything is left unfinished (I’m on the road all day, meeting is at the office). I’m sick of employers. I’m sick of having to be worried about taking time to myself. I spend days and time off still attached to my work phone in case something pops up. I don’t even have the energy…

I’m sick of employers. I’m sick of having to be worried about taking time to myself. I spend days and time off still attached to my work phone in case something pops up. I don’t even have the energy to put in applications elsewhere and I’m nervous it’ll just be the same thing.

I left my last two employers because of low pay, which one started paying new, unskilled employees nearly as much as I was making.
