Is anyone else finding yourselves kind of amused at the sheer panic of certain job sectors about how fast AI is advancing?

Like…for years now…hourly workers have been taunted about how because we want higher wages and better conditions, the bots were just going to come to replace us. Now, in rather fast time, AI is advancing to the point that it can basically do….an absurd number of jobs in practically no time at all…and all these people who have been mocking hourly workers for years are suddenly in an absolute panic about how they're going to be replaced rather quickly…and probably replaced before the hourly workers are. They were fine with the 'bots' coming for the plebs….but now they're at risk too, suddenly they want sympathy. And for some reason, they still can't bring themselves to even entertain the idea of a UBI…even though the exact thing people have been pointing out about their jeers for the bots coming for hourly jobs is starting to happen. Even though thanks to the advances in technology…it literally is the most logical step for society to begin taking.
