Is it bad to not apply externally?

Hello! I use a variety of job search services, like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Handshake. I put a lot of work into my resume and portfolio, both of which are on my profiles and are clearly stated and available in all of my applications. A lot of the jobs I’m applying for have you turn in a resume and portfolio link, etc on the job search service’s application for the position and then ask you to apply AGAIN but this time externally on some random website that is either the company’s site or a random third party that always asks you to create an account (which then leads to annoying marketing and spam emails from dozens of sites). This external applications always ask for information that I’ve already provided, there’s nothing special or different about them. So, is it bad if I just do the direct application from the job search…

So, is it bad if I just do the direct application from the job search site or is it really that important to give them the same information over and over again??
