Is it ever okay to leave with no 2-week notice?

I have been working at a startup since September of 2021. I was hired for one role full time, but the entire duration of my employment I have been 100% performing a different role than what was in my offer letter. I have been accepting and completing these tasks this entire time with no problem, and for the first time today I asked my boss why aren't we giving some of these tasks to the actual employee that they belong to. My boss asked everyone to leave the meeting room and then proceeded to berate me. I recently just landed a new job two weeks ago and they want me to start next week. I've tried to beat around the bush to get a temperature check on how it would go over if I put in my notice soon, my boss did NOT respond well to my questions, and said…

I've tried to beat around the bush to get a temperature check on how it would go over if I put in my notice soon, my boss did NOT respond well to my questions, and said I'd better not leave within the next 90 days. What should I do if I know putting in my two weeks will be hell? Is it ever okay to just leave without notice?
