I had always thought the main reason people opted for traditional employment over self-employment was to have a stable source of income. I can't stand the lack of job security that we have in the US and I hate the anxiety I have at all times knowing that my job can go extinct at any moment. At this point, I go into a job expecting to be let go after 3-6 months. It's like musical chairs and marrying my livelihood to a company just feels too risky. I started working on creating my own sources of income out of desperation for financial security. I can't wait to get to the point where I make enough to just stop showing up to work. I will vanish into the night without a word. Has anyone else had similar feelings and trying to escape the system?
