Is there really any point?

For context, I'm 41 about to turn 42. I went to university to study Computer Animation and dreamed of working with the film industry creating special effects. I ended up completing my degree and did several jobs boosting my portfolio but due to financial issues I just had to take jobs that paid anything. I eventually left the industry after 8 years and gave it up due to long long hours and terrible pay. Eventually landed working within the Print industry which I rather enjoyed but as the years creep up I realise that I could realistically never afford my own home, start a family etc and even on 2 peoples wages we still can't afford rent and food and social. The jobs im qualified to do still pay shit, shit benefits. Top it off I had a heart attack last year and only returned to work after 10 months…

What's the point of working all this time and still get fuck all in return, I think I'm done…
