Talked with my employers at a greenhouse company that I was moving and looking for another job closer to that area. Then gave them a proper two weeks notice which mentioned I needed today off to move some furniture to my new place. Today is Sunday and is the least busy day so I thought that would be a good day to be off for that reason. Even though I had this through message to my boss and I’m a written letter, he called me today wondering where I was. I then mentioned that I was moving furniture and that this was mentioned in both my physical resignation letter and through text message. He told me just to not come back. So even though I have another job lined up, that leaves me with two weeks without a paycheck. It was a small business so there is no such thing as corporate. Just feeling upset and wondering why they do the things that they do.
